Despite the expected drop in visitor numbers - down 8% according to the official data - the EDAC Group enjoyed a very successful 2008 ELECTRONICA.

 

Commenting on the event EDAC (Europe) Managing Director, Andy King, said: "I had concerns that the catastrophic economic events of the past few weeks would decimate attendance at the Show however I am delighted to report a significant increase in visitor numbers to the EDAC stand".

"More important than pure numbers was the quality of the enquiries we received from the market at Munich. In this respect ELECTRONICA 2008 was actually our best show for six years!"

"I can only put this down to the progress made by EDAC in the recent past to raise it's profile globally, and to the willingness of procurement professionals within the industry to widen their search for suppliers offering greater value and technical support", concluded Mr. King.

Edac used the show to launch a new range of Norcomp machined-pin, high-density, D-Sub connectors and also featured a number of the custom and semi-custom connectors and cable assemblies produced for clients during the past year or more.

Also highlighted were new applications for the ultra-reliable 516 Series Rack & Panel and Card Edge connectors.
