EDAC, is delighted to announce that FLINT DISTRIBUTION Ltd. (An Avnet Company) has been awarded its prestigious EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTOR of the YEAR award for 2007.

 

Commenting on the announcement, Edac's European Managing Director, Andy King, said "We are very pleased to see Flint pick up this award for an unprecedented second consecutive year". "There was some stiff competition in 2007 and the result was close-run".

 

"It?s impossible not to be impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the staff at Flint, they are extremely pro-active and imaginative in uncovering new business opportunities, particularly for custom-designed connectors and cable assemblies, an area of particular expertise at Edac".

 

"Although there was a slow-down in activity during the latter part of the year it must be recognised that during that period Flint was acquired by Avnet and had to incorporate the inevitable additional workload associated with integration with this huge organisation".

 

Edac would like to congratulate Carl Barton and his exceptional team on a job well done in challenging circumstances and wish them every success in attempting, what would be, an extraordinary hat-trick in 2008!
